“My youth centre—why do I love it? At first, it was the unknown, and honestly, I was afraid of it. Then I went, and I discovered a special place, you could say. There’s something special about the way that every time I walk through the door, it feels like I’m stepping through a portal into a world where negative vibes don’t exist. That’s where I have my uncontrollable laughter, all my crazy moments, my inside jokes. Freedom of expression is practically a rule there—an obligation to be able to express yourself. And it’s not the kind of obligation you don’t want; it’s the kind you embrace wholeheartedly.”
Our popular projects:
“I think it’s a wonderful experience with lots of smiling young people and staff members who are there to help you when you need it. Thank you for helping me discover so many new things, and I have to say that I really enjoyed the project because people support you in everything you do.”
“The CIEC was a wonderful experience and helped me develop social and entrepreneurial skills. This summer was the best I’ve had so far. Thank you for the great moments.”
At the heart of management, ensuring the organization operates efficiently across all its sectors. Available at all times to respond to the team’s needs. Ensure representation on multiple collaborative committees and align partnerships with other organizations.
This sector aims to promote the third component of our mission, which focuses on working collaboratively with other community partners to provide services to community members. We are the lead organization for the 16–25 evenings project in Mirabel and act as trustee for the evenings held in Saint‑Jérôme and Saint‑Colomban.
This project aims to enhance activities and service offerings in addiction prevention in certain secondary schools within the Mille‑Îles and Rivière‑du‑Nord school service centres. It offers students validated workshops from the Dévelop’Action program, delivered by the organization Action toxicomanie, as well as universal, selective, and targeted prevention services. These interventions are tailored to the specific needs of each school and are based on recognized best practices.
“My name is Ève, and I am a Grade 9 student at Cap Jeunesse Secondary School. I started working with Nico at the beginning of my third year of secondary school. At first, I really didn’t want to be followed by a new intervention worker, especially not regarding my substance use. But I never once felt judged. I grew very attached to his presence and his open‑mindedness. At the beginning, we met once a week, and then I started stopping by to say hi during breaks and lunch periods. He always listened to me talk about my life and my stories, and I truly needed someone who would listen without judgment. When things weren’t going well, I always appreciated going to see him. I am extremely grateful to him for supporting me throughout this year, which was quite a challenge. I’m looking forward to seeing you again next year.
Thank you, Nico!”
This project aims to provide prevention and harm reduction activities for young adults aged 18 to 24 who use psychoactive substances (PAS) and attend an educational institution within the Rivière‑du‑Nord School Service Centre. The workshops, offered under the GRIPP license, are delivered in either individual or group formats in order to meet the specific needs of each student and the environment in which they evolve.
This program aims to address addiction prevention needs—both universal and targeted—for individuals aged 0 to 103. We offer personalized and adapted services delivered through awareness‑raising and educational information sessions for various population groups.
Our interventions are implemented across the territories of Mirabel, Saint‑Jérôme, and Argenteuil, in a wide range of settings: community, municipal, educational, professional, or any other environment wishing to address addiction issues, regardless of personal, social, or economic context.
